When the City of Swan redeveloped Woodbridge Regional Playspace, they completed the project to exceptionally high standards.
They needed a shade company with the expertise to incorporate shade into the design of this all-abilities park. It was essential that the shade structures matched the quality of the redevelopment. We’re proud to say, they chose West Coast Shade.
This project was high profile as the Swan Regional Riverside Park is a popular spot for locals and visitors. It was also a highly technical job and that was extremely awkward to access.
The play space is in a natural ‘sensitive’ setting, which meant we needed to coordinate our work with consultants and facilitate specimen testing.
Great care was required to ensure the public, as well as existing infrastructure, equipment and amenities, were protected while we worked.
After decades of creating safe and secure work sites in public open spaces, we had a proven strategy to manage and protect the public. We used a range of control methods to keep the site safe and inform the public of any planned disruptions to their access.
While on site, we considered ourselves representatives of the City of Swan, which meant we were careful to protect their reputation.
Our highly trained staff and subcontractors were always professionally presented, approachable and courteous. We managed enquiries from interested members of the public in a friendly and helpful manner.
Despite the challenges of the work site and close proximity of the public, we completed the project successfully. The extra care and attention we took meant that neither the site nor the environment sustained damage. And we maintained our 100% safety record.
